From healing a current relationship to healing our minds and bodies, we are not short of opportunities that request us to shore up, stand tall, embrace the emotional, and heal. While, in theory, healing can seem elusive or out of reach, it’s vital to pay attention to it. We are, literally, designed to heal.
To be clear I’m referencing this subject matter in the context of healing the relationship we have with our emotions. From magazines to social media, there are blazing messages about the need to heal. Flooded with advice, snippets of quotes, and expertise filling the airwaves, it can all feel complicated.
A big truth to remember is healing is not only a mind thing. You’ll spin wheels if you try to think your way into healing. If you start with the heart’s intelligence and then move to the mind, the outcomes will definitely surprise you! It’s about training to become stronger in the heart as the first point of focus and then leaning into the mind as the second point of focus.
If you’re an entrepreneur, I have no doubt you’ve had to heal and up-level your understanding and perspectives around money. If you are in a leadership position, you’ve had to heal and up-level the skill of trust in others. While you may not recognize these moments as healing – remember something had to dissolve in order to make room for something new and fresh. The healing process resets our hope and stamina and allows us to continue to show up, find our inspiration, and arrive with unwavering trust.
We certainly will never be without the oscillation of challenge, but if we can commit, decide, and remember our hearts as the starting line, we will find our unique elixirs to what challenges us.
So this week, be bold and explore your definition and relationship to healing.
I know it can be a tough cookie because it involves feelings and feelings that are touchy, personal, and hard to navigate, but when we truly accept our emotional hotspot, grace has the power to flood in.
Here’s to you and the power of the heart as the starting point,
Heather
